Cadet Seldén Mast 2420 CNH2007 Ex. Rigging
Designed to give the best stiffness to weight ratio available in an alloy extrusion. Material, section shape and size, and wall thickness all have a major effect on both the static and dynamic bend characteristics of a tube. These details are studied in the design of every section and are carefully checked on every piece of spar tube Seldén use.
Seldén’s 2420 section is the only round Cadet section with an integrally extruded sail track - this means that all of the material contributes to the overall stiffness of the spar and results in anunbeatable stiffness for weight ratio, and minimum height C of G. Having a circular section for a spreaderless rig gives it a relatively high sideways stiffness and also additional sideways support. The integral track also ensures that the track remains attached to the spars for life.
The 2420 masts are using the new Xtra Proof Strength (XPS) aluminum alloy.
